Contact breeders and find out who is doing health testing and who is following the guidelines set out by the Havanese Club of America . Please check references carefully and make sure you are dealing with a breeder who is dedicated to providing healthy well adjusted pups from health tested parents. Ask to see the parents and make sure proper papers are provided for registering the dogs with American Kennel Club. All puppies are cute and can steal your heart.
